The gold fields of knowledge

Verbatim references:

Et sic de similibus references:

A solid basis in fact is at the root of all truth and a true man of wisdom has spent many years of effort diligently gleaning many gold nuggets of knowledge from many fields.

9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

A prospector who can not recognize real gold when he sees it will no doubt return foolishly rejoicing with a bag full of worthless stones.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

It is not easy to find nuggets of pure gold.

A good prospector knows he much search long and hard to find the precious nuggets of pure gold for which he seeks. Likewise, a man of true wisdom must be willing to labor as long as it takes to find the precious nuggets of pure truth that for which he seeks.
Revelation 3
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
