Scriptural references for:
The truth will set you free
Et sic de similibus references:
Purity comes from knowing the truth and letting the truth reign in our lives.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Corruption is born of ignorance and ignorance is not bliss.
All men will believe something and if they do not know the truth they will believe in lies.
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Satan is the father of all liars and those who believe in lies are his children.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
Jesus said, "The truth will set you free."
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Now you are purified by the words that I have spoken unto you."
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
His words are truth and they are life.
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Come, let us reason together sayeth the Lord.
Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.
By both hearing and doing the words that Jesus spoke to us, we can be as pure as fresh fallen snow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Blessed and pure are all who hear God's Voice and obey it.
20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
