Beware of the false prophets who claim to represent the Lord; but in reality they are inwardly ravaging wolves seeking to destroy the body of Christ.
By their fruits you shall know them.
Do they teach you to love or to hate?
Do they speak against things to get you to doubt or do they generate faith?
Do they paint such a negative picture of the world they cause you to despair or do they bring you a message of hope?
Does their message cause you to increase in love, hope and faith or does their message leave you in the state of fear?
The main weapon use by all the tyrants of history was to use fear to rule the hearts of their people.
If a man claiming to be a prophet tries to get you to follow him by a message of fear, he is a false prophet seeking to make merchandise of you.
Brethren, pay heed to the true prophets, whose message teaches us to love another.
