The Voice of The Lord comes only by the asking and The Lord does not disguise Himself as you talking to yourself.

The Lord's Voice brings Peace.

Satan's voice brings strife and turmoil within.

The Lord's Voice brings Joy and Love to your heart.

Satan's voice brings hate and dread and thoughts of defeat.
