No, we remember those who accomplish difficult tasks and who have gone where no man has gone before.
Gen 13:10-12
And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it [was] well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, [even] as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.
Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched [his] tent toward Sodom.

It is the difficult things and the hardships that lead to true greatness in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Mat 5:11-12
Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

All the great Saints of remembrance knew the pathway they followed was going to have hardships, yet without hesitation they follow it by faith.
Rev 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
1Pe 1:7
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
