Our Heavenly Father is precious! His blessings and His acts of mercy are far better then anything this world has to offer.
Psa 19:
8 The statutes of the LORD [are] right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD [is] pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD [is] clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD [are] true [and] righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired [are they] than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Yet, few they are who will even lift a finger in a effort to obtain His blessings or to discover the depths of His ways.
Luk 10:
2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great, but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Many they are who will spend great effort to obtain some small earthly glory or crown; yet seem to be shocked at even the idea or the suggestion of devoting a little of their effort and time to getting to know Him, our Lord, better.
1Cr 9:
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Brethren, seek after and search for the things of God with all your heart, spirit, mind, soul and strength.
Jer 29:
13 And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven.
Mat 6:
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
