Behold, a farmer tilled his fields, planted seed and labored lovingly many sweat filled days with hope for a bountiful harvest.
But alas, a drought came and the farmer harvested scarcely enough to feed his own family and to have seed for the next year.
The next year the same thing happened and again the next.
But, on the fourth year the farmer reaped a bountiful harvest of such proportions that it more than made up for the losses of the lean years.
His neighbors who had become discouraged and stopped planting asked him why he kept planting.
He answered and said, if I plant in due season I will reap a bountiful harvest.
To reap, you must sow.
